The overcast foot is a good tool for stitching over raw edges easily and neatly.
This clever little foot is designed to help you when overcasting (zig zag stitching over the edges of your fabric pieces).
The foot has a bridge built in the centre.  When you zig zag the edges of your fabric the stitches fall on the and then off the bridge, the bridge adds a tiny amount of ease to the stitches and this stops your edges from rolling inwards.
The foot also has a guide built in to help you keep your fabric lined up to get the stitches right to the edge.
Line the guide up with the edge of your fabric, set your stitch to sig and zag and start stitching.
Fits all snap on low-shank sewing machines.  NOT suitable for industrial machines, vintage machines or mini sewing machines.
