Dashwood Studio - Starlit Hollow Red - Charming Pack (42 x 5" squares)
Sian Summerhayes's Starlit Hollow fabric collection has a distinctly Scandi vibe. The addition of metallic gold threads adds enough sparkle to make this a great choice for Christmas makes whilst the Scandi vibe extends their use into the rest of the year. Animals featured in this collection include hares, deer or reindeer, foxes and birds.
Each charming pack includes 42 x 5" squares of fabric, with the edges of the squares pinked (zig zag cut). All the fabrics shown in the images above are included in the pack.

Why Pinked Edges?

The pinked edges help with lining up squares for accurate sewing.
- The pinked edges are a few mms deep and so don't affect seam allowances, just line up the fabrics on your sewing machine using the points of the zig zag and as long as your using a seam allowance of at least 6mm (1/4") the pinked parts of the fabric will be hidden in the seam allowance - there is no impact on the finished square size (measured when the squares are sewn together).
- Pinking reduces bulk in the seams.
- Pinking stops the fabric unravelling along the edges.
